"BEAR" Litter COI/COR

COI - Coefficient of Inbreeding

Is this an outcross or inbreeding, if inbreeding, how much?  Anything under 7% is an outcross.  A brother-sister breeding is 25%, assuming the parents are a complete 0% outcross, which rarely happens.  There are complicated programs to figure out COI/COR.  According to the calculations of Pedigree Explorer using the AMAL database,

Maestro & Honey's, 10-generation COI 5%

Therefore their pups will be an outcross, which will help ensure genetic diversity.  If they were inbred, they would be more likely to inherit the same copy of common genes -- some benign like the shape of the head, some deliterious like cancers.  The higher the number the harder it is to maintain a genetic diversity in the population as a whole.  Outcrossed dogs also tend to have a better chance at "hybrid vigor" which increases the chances of a healthy immune system.

COR - Coefficient of Relationship

COR is an algorithmic calculation to determine the estimated percent of influence a particular dog has on a litter of puppies.  These dogs are generally figured for 10 generations by percentage, but this is no way a guarantee that if you put a dog 20 times in a pedigree, the pups will "look" like him or "act" like him, because each breeding is a reshuffle of the genes, with half of them lost every time.  HOWEVER, statistically, these dogs have a greater chance of influencing a litter the higher their COR is...

Gen 1
Artic-Luv's Honey Bear "Honey" 56% (@ Wayeh)
Wayeh Singn N Howln Masasyu "Maestro" 54% (@ Wayeh)

Honey's solid Uyak pedigree overrides Maestro because of his mother's half Storm Kloud influence.

Gen2
Uyak Koyuk Kip "Kip" 38%
Artic-Luv's Echoes of Khan "Tilly" 34%
Wayeh's Soul Song "Singer" 30% (@ Wayeh)
Tessa's Sir Charles "Charles" 29%

As expected the Uyak and Uyak-influenced dogs outweigh Singer who is half Storm Kloud-influenced dogs and Charles who has some Uyak, but also Nanuke/Baylor/Barrenfield, which just drops out of influence even as early as Gen2.

Gen3
Uyak Voodoo Vincent 31%
Uyak Aleut Anna 30%
Artic-Luv's Belle Amie 28%
Wayeh's Cherokee Summer "Summer" 24%
Kohoutec's Magnetic North "Magnet" 22%
Artic-Luv's Booty Shaker "Booty" 17%
Baylor's Howln Hannah-Tessa "Hannah" 14%
Snow Song's Night Rider "Rider" 14%

More of the same, Uyak, Artic-Luv, the old Wayeh, and Kohoutec that all have a lot of Uyak influence in their pedigrees.  Booty has a strong Kotzebue influence, Hannah has the Nanuke/Baylor/Barrenfield, and Rider is all Storm Kloud with no Uyak.

The next generation shows the main split where the non-Uyak dogs drop off.

Gen4
Uyak Seneca Sophie 28% (the only dog in 4 generations that repeats, and she's in the 6th as well.)
Uyak Unco Una 27%
Uyak Winter Willy 26%
Jarva's In the Nik of Time 25%
Bandit's Pretty Boy Floyd 25%
Makuma's Koani Lakota 21%
Wayeh's Arctic Wind's Shadow 20%
Wayeh's Just Before the Dawn 20%
Kohoutec's Salubrious Spirit 19%

Here's the main split with the dogs below having strong influence from non-Uyak pedigrees.

Kohoutec's Blackfoot Indi 14%
Artic-Luv's Red Jake 14%
Baylor's Bateries Not Included 9%
Nanuke's A Rushin Revolution 9%
Snow Song's Brandi O Tinsha 9%
Mals-About's Savage of Snow Song 9%
Sno-Field A Diana of Articluv 7%

Gen5
Uyak Tomahawk Tante 28%
Uyak Seneca Sophie 28%
Kiwaliks Wild Bill 26%
Uyak Oopik Opal 26%
Uyak Navaho Nik 26%
Uyak Geronimo George 24%
Vykon's Best Bet 23%
Wayeh's Cherokee Brave 22%
White Hawk Kemo of Grand Paw 21%
Jarva's Summer Rain 20%
Bandit Dandits by Abbey 19%
Wayeh's Shoshone Sunwalker 18%
Kohoutec's Tsunami Samson 18%
Vykon's Wayeh True Spirit 18%
Vermar's Formal Affair 17%
Tuffnooks Crown of Knob Hill 16%
Aluk's Marco Polo 14%
Wayeh's Sassafras Lass 14%

The dog's below 13% include some Artic-Luv, all the Northeast dogs, Storm Kloud (Snow Song, Mals-Abouts), and Kotzebue.

Gen6
Uyak Seneca Sophie 28%
Karohonta Skymaster 27%
Kiwaliks Wild Bill 26%
Uyak Oopik Opal 26%
Uyak Navaho Nik 26%
Kiwaliks Snowbear of Kipnuk 25%
Kiwaliks Vykon Indiana Jones 25%
Kiwaliks Kiowa 24%
Uyak Geronimo George 24%
Uyak Zany Zarita 23%
Uyak Yankee Yenta 22%
Kiwaliks Canada 22%
Uyak Ooloo Oscar 22%
Nomarak's Snowgoose 22%
Kiwaliks Nevada 21%
Vykon Jarva's True Colours 22%
Uyak Erok Esther 21%
J Allen Yukon Hug-A-Wolf 21% (bred-by Wayeh)
J-Len's Prairie Twister 20%
Astorm Daniel's Choice 18%
Chuka II Karohonta Indian 18%
Chuka II's Doc Holiday 18%
Kohoutec's Parhelion Sundog 16%
Wayeh Needa Mist 15%
Lazarus Wayeh 14%
Wayeh's Sassafras Lass 14%

The Artic-Luv and Wayeh dogs that did not breed closely to Uyak drop off the scale, as well as all the Storm Kloud (Mals-Abouts, Sarge's, Sun King, Wild Wind's), Northeast (Nanuke, Barrenfield, Baylor), and Kotzebue.

The next generation is mainly Uya-influenced dogs, as expected, with the rest dropping off.  Which is why I planned this pedigree to pull the Uyak part of Maestro's pedigree to the fore.
